Honda Japan unveils Hawk 11 2022

Motorcycles in 2022 are very much an international business, with OEMs operating and situated all over the world. Do you remember HondaGO? If you don’t know, it began in 2020 as Honda Japan’s own-brand bike rental business. We mentioned that you could hire a CBR1000RR-R Fireblade for a weekend from Honda by using this service.

With all this in mind, it should come as no surprise that Honda Japan’s in-house rental business, HondaGO, has unveiled new pictures with giant, splashy date stamps stating when the Hawk 11 will be shown.

Because the Internet is the Internet, and bike lovers are bike fans, it should come as no surprise that some brave individuals have erased those pesky date stamps from these photographs, then shared the cleaned-up results online, where they are (of course) spreading like wildfire.

The photograph shows that the bike employs the same frame as the Africa Twin and NT1100. Even the subframe looks identical to the adventure touring motorcycles. The inverted forks devices appear like the NT1100 to comparable Nissin calipers.

The bike features the exact parallel twin-cylinder engine as the NT1100the and CMX1100. That should imply that DCT is available. Though the motorcycle depicted is a manual transmission type.

The sleek build of the bike, so, is in line with certain other café racer sports motorcycles on the market. The MV Agusta Superveloce and the new Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RR are available. Both have demonstrated a demand for premium factory-built café racer-style motorcycles. Even if the Hawk is likely to trail behind the speed and performance.

We also have a launch date for the new machine, with the covers coming off in a few days. We’ll be searching social media for the minute it releases. We’ll bring you all the information as soon as we get them and update you on BikersInsider.

Motobi, an Italian brand, has announced Motobi DL 400 Naked for 2022.

Motobi returned from Austria after a 40-year absence under the auspices of the Leeb Group. First up are two Chinese-made 125 models. In 2022, a stately-looking Motobi dl 400 machines with a strong twin and a costly price will be there.

Motobi is now owned by the Austrian Leeb Group. They took control in 2010 and managed the Italian brand’s return to Grand Prix racing with the JiR team in Moto2. According to the brand’s website, the brand’s motorcycles aim to deliver a “sporty Italian design and riding experience,” according to the brand’s website.

After all, the Motobi DL 400 Naked costs 5,799 euros. In comparison, the class-leading 390 Duke from KTM costs only 300 euros more but boasts seven more horsepower. But, you must stand on a single cylinder. That isn’t available on the Motobi. It features a 379 cc inline twin-engine, producing 37 horsepower at 9,000 rpm. They are slowed by a big disc brake with a radial caliper at the front and Bosch ABS.

Motobi has now revealed the DL 400 Naked for 2022. It conforms to its “sporty” aesthetic brief. It boosts its range to four motorcycles, with manufacturing expanding to include light-middleweight naked of the 400cc class and the DL 125s of 2021.

According to Motorcycles News, the DL 400 Naked will include a single-disc front brake system and Bosch ABS.

The Motobi DL 400 Naked is illuminated by LEDs all around. The primary headlight is reminiscent of the CB 1000 R. The solid-looking aluminum swingarm with top cable is also eye-catching. Also, there’s a bit retro-looking double muffler. Whether, when, or how the Motobi DL 400 Naked will be available for sale is unknown. For more news and updates, keep visiting BikersInsider.

The Buese Rocc 980 Modular Helmet from Buese is now available.

It can be convenient to wear a modular helmet, especially for people who spend long hours on the saddle. They travel in and out of crowded urban areas and take frequent breaks throughout the riding. The ability to use a modular lid allows you to do things that a full-face helmet would not enable you to do. The rider can eat, drink, and even take a selfie with your face visible, all without taking the helmet off.

But, there are a variety of modular helmet solutions available on the market. Each one offers a unique appearance, pricing, and usefulness. The Buese Rocc 980 modular helmet from Buese, a leading provider of gear and equipment. It is one of the most recent modular helmets to hit the market. The Rocc 980 transforms into a sleek, streamlined athletic helmet by lowering the chin bar to its lowest position. It’s also lightweight, weighing in at 1,590 grams, which is a good thing considering its flip-up capabilities and the fact that the build is fiberglass.

Safety & Comfort

Even though the Rocc 980’s chin bar can lift up, the helmet is only tested and certified with a closed lid. Thus, the chin bar must be depressed to be ridden. Despite this, it complies with ECE 22.05 requirements. It comes with a drop-down sun visor and a scratch-resistant visor with an anti-fog pinlock screen, among other features. The inner liner is removable and washable, extending the helmet’s life. It also includes emergency release tabs for the cheek pads, which can be handy in an emergency.

With the help of a micrometric quick-release mechanism, the helmet will secure your head. An adjustable ventilation system on the chin and top of the head adds comfort. As a whole, the Buese Rocc 980 stands out as a strong option in the mid-tier modular helmet market sector. This surfboard’s fiberglass shell is available in two sizes. The matte black version costs 259.95 Euros (approximately USD 294), and the two-tone color options cost 279.95 Euros (approximately USD 316). The Rocc 980’s fiberglass shell is available in two sizes ranging from XS to 2XL.

A limited edition 890 Duke GP model has been unveiled by KTM.

KTM has a long history of using its MotoGP project as a springboard for limited-edition models. In July 2021, KTM introduced the RC 8C, a sportbike based on the 890 Duke and inspired by the MotoGP class.

KTM’s Super Scalpel had expectations to be even sharper when Mattighofen declared February the “month of middleweight naked” and teased the 890 Duke GP. This new Grand Prix-inspired naked bike design is the inspiration of the base 890 Duke rather than on the up-spec 890 Duke R.

MotoGP makeover of 890 Duke GP

The KTM 890 Duke has been given a MotoGP makeover, with stylistic echoes of the RC16 Grand Prix racer. In 2020, KTM unveiled the 890 Duke GP, an updated version of the 890 Duke, featuring visual cues from the KTM MotoGP machines. Numerous visual cues hint at KTM’s involvement in road racing: the livery is based on the MotoGP-winning.

Tech 3 team. It contains KTM’s “Ready to Race” tagline and the emblems of KTM’s technical partners, such as WP and Pankl Racing Systems. So far, it doesn’t sound all that different from KTM’s Tech 3 890 Duke from last year. However, unlike the Tech 3 version, 2022 890 Duke GP does not include an Akropovic exhaust, a belly pan, or a track stand. It’s also not limited to 100 copies, and it’ll launch outside besides France as well.

Specifications

The mechanical characteristics and specifications of the 890 Duke GP are identical to those of the regular-painted 890 Duke. As stated by KTM, the 889cc LC8c parallel twin engine powers the 890 Duke GP to an impressive 115 hp and 92 nm of torque. Other standard features include:

  • A PASC slipper clutch.
  • WP suspension (Apex 43mm open-cartridge upside-down forks up front, gas-assisted shocks in the rear).
  • Continental tyres.

It’s been seven months since KTM unveiled its RC 8C motorcycle, which also featured an 889cc LC8C engine and was the Austrian brand’s first track-focused bike that took influence from its MotoGP project.

Honda is preparing to offer radar adaptive cruise control on the Honda Gold Wing

0

Even when it comes to motorbikes, cruise control is nothing new. But, radar-powered adaptive cruise control takes motorcyclists even closer to self-driving capability. Of course, many will object to the addition of such features. Still, there is no doubting that they are useful. Particularly for those who ride their bikes over long distances.

Adaptive cruise control implementations

Adaptive cruise control driven by radar is currently available on several models from Ducati and KTM. Some Japanese manufacturers, such as Kawasaki and Honda, are also getting in on the action. The Ninja H2 SX will launch with a camera and improvements to the Africa Twin and Gold Wing. Even if you don’t use adaptive cruise control, indeed, it takes away a lot from the pure motorcycling experience. It’s also sought after to take a break on the motorway and enjoy the scenery.

Honda Gold Wing Adaptive Cruise Control

The news is, Honda Gold Wing has received a few improvements. The new Gold Wing’s radar adaptive cruise control was seen in online patent photos. Housing such complex and delicate equipment will be difficult. With the Multistrada V4’s awkward-looking nose and the intricate tail section of the Ninja H2 SX, we’ve seen this before. Yet, Honda had plenty of room to accommodate a radar unit for the Gold Wing because of its big and sensuous fairing.

Besides, Honda plans to equip the Gold Wing with a rear-mounted radar sensor for blind-spot detection. It will make the motorcycle even more fascinating. There is still no word on where the back radar will be. Even if the bike doesn’t have a top case, it will have to be in the tail section. This would cause some modifications to the bikes’ instrument panel. The huge digital panel in the dashboard’s center will likely show radar warnings. As per rumors, Honda is working on a stunning heads-up display for a future model.

It’s fun to consider that the line between tech and automobile motorcycles is becoming blurred in the wake of so much progress. As a result, the Gold Wing will be even safer and more convenient to ride than ever before. Adaptive cruise control will be standard on the 2023 Honda Gold Wing.

The Honda Hawk 11 will make its world debut at the Osaka Motorcycle Show in 2022.

0

That didn’t take long. There has been much speculation of a new Honda product with the same 1,084cc parallel-twin engine featured in the Africa Twin and Rebel 1100. Earlier in February 2022, BikersInsider posted a piece speculating on what the new bike would look like.

Let’s fast forward to Friday, February 25, 2022. Honda has recently made its presence known by releasing a teaser image of the upcoming Hawk 11. It will make its international debut at the 2022 Osaka Motorcycle Show, which will take place from March 19 to 21. Team Red also produced a short, 25-second teaser film for the Hawk 11 on their Japanese-language websites. It also expects to release a second teaser video between March 19.

The teaser image and single video that Honda has released so far show an extreme right front closeup of the bike’s headlight, cowl, and turn signal. The photos are dark and mysterious, as is customary for teasers. The House that Soichiro Built also holds any and all crucial spec information close to its breast ahead of the debut. It’s expected, but will the design be the same once it’s unveiled?

Similarities between official teaser and previous renders of Honda Hawk

How similar does Honda’s official Hawk 11 teaser appear to Young Machine’s speculative render earlier this month? Similar lines are visible in the teaser. The circular LED headlight in Honda’s teaser image appears to be less hollow in the cowl than in YM’s render. But, that could be an optical illusion because of the illumination in the official teaser but not rendered that way in the speculative render.

What about engine modifications? Honda’s brief paragraph of descriptive text about the Hawk 11 emphasizes the importance of appearance and how a bike does not rely on its stats. As a result, it appears that little will change in the powertrain section for this model. Will it supplant the CB1000R? That is still a guarded secret.

Honda intends to exhibit at all three major Japanese motorcycle events announced for 2022: Osaka, Tokyo, and Nagoya. Assume you’ll be in those regions and want to attend. In that situation, tickets are now available through a specific Honda website.

Made of Recycled Materials, Bering Portland Jacket is out now

Companies are coming up with inventive new solutions to reduce our carbon footprint. It is a part of environmental awareness that grows quicker than ever before. The proliferation of electric vehicles serves as a powerful indicator of this trend. The gear business is likewise experiencing a surge in innovation. Innovative clothing companies such as Andromeda Moto and Bering in France create a more friendly future.

Bering, a well-known French motorcycle clothing and gear manufacturer, has developed an environmentally-friendly approved jacket, the Portland. As an almost recycled product, it offers the same level of protection as a regular textile motorcycle jacket. Reinforced Recycled polyester is the material to build the jacket’s basic structure. It uses an equal of 100 plastic bottles for each garment. The Portland, a winter jacket, has a surprising number of characteristics. It may be useful in various weather conditions.

For Helmet Communication Units, Ruroc Has Announced the CHAIN App.

0

Ruroc CHAIN is a unique independent motorcycle communication system that allows riders and groups of riders to connect and communicate with one another no matter how far apart they are.

The system runs as an app on your smartphone and uses Voice Over Internet Protocol. The same method that WhatsApp uses when you use to make a call. Your voice is transferred to another user over the phone’s 3, 4, or 5G connection.

Ruroc created this app called CHAIN. This app integrates all riders’ communication devices, independent of the brand.

VoIP – Voice over Internet Protocol for CHAIN app

With VOIP technology, the CHAIN app will help individuals who have been unable to connect a Sena with a Cardo. Discord, Skype, and WhatsApp are a few examples of apps that already rely on VOIP. With VOIP in CHAIN form, motorcyclists may communicate with devices from different manufacturers.

Many Bluetooth devices have the largest group size constraints that this technology can’t exceed. After receiving the six-digit code, riders can join a CHAIN group. VOIP allows riders to stay in touch. It works despite vehicles, buildings, distance, or natural impediments like hills or turns separating them from the rest of their group.

Suppose the group is traveling in rural areas. In that case, VOIP may not work because it relies on mobile data and internet connectivity. This means that CHAIN is a fantastic option for urban and suburban commuters. It has restrictions for long-distance explorers and tourists. Mobile coverage isn’t uneven among different carriers. Staying on the trodden route may be the best strategy.

CHAIN is an excellent choice for riders who won’t be riding into the most remote regions. Ruroc’s app is a terrific option for groups on the go because of its wide range, universal compatibility, and limitless group size. In the Apple App Store, you can get the CHAIN app for free right now. It will be available on Google Play soon.

First Look at the Honda CB500X ABS for 2022

0

The Honda CB500X ABS’s chassis comes with a rework for 2022, resulting in improved handling and stopping power.

The new Showa SFF-BP USD inverted fork on the 2022 CB500X replaces the telescopic fork, resulting in a more rigid front end. The front and rear braking systems got updates, with a two-disc setup for improved stopping force and precision. Pro-Link rear suspension with nine-stage preload adjustment is still used by Honda. The bike has a redesigned swingarm that weighs 2 pounds less than the previous model.

Rework details

Forks

The new CB500X ABS has inverted forks that are more suited to an adventure bike. Showa SFF-BP 41mm inverted forks, despite being non-adjustable, are a significant boost for off-road enthusiasts. BP refers to the Big Piston damper for more accurate action. At the same time, SFF stands for Separate Function Fork (spring in one tube, dampening in the other). An inch and a half less fork travel are possible.

Lighter swingarm

A new, lighter swingarm is there as an accessory to the new forks. The redesigned swingarm, according to Honda, is two pounds lighter while yet being as strong.

Improved brakes

The front end of the 2022 CB500X will feature double disc brakes. The single 310mm disc is no longer available in this format. We’ll be using 296mm discs and calipers from Nissin when it comes to stopping power. Non-adjustable ABS is the standard.

Aluminum alloy wheels

Wheels for the front of the vehicle have a new design. The CB500X has its adventure-ready 19-/17-inch wheel combo, but the new cast aluminum wheel trims 3.5 ounces off the unsprung weight.

Colors and Pricing

They show an updated Honda CB500X ABS for the European market. Pearl Organic Green/Black is the only color combination available for the CB500X. Dealers are currently selling the vehicle for $7199, and they should be on sale by March.

The CB500X has been a favorite among beginning, commuters, and light-adventure riders since its 2013 model year release, so this is wonderful news for the bike. With its well-balanced power delivery, smooth handling, and comfy cockpit, we found it a trustworthy and approachable motorcycle.

Local Honda dealerships will have the updated CB500X starting this month. For more news and updates keep visiting BikersInsider.
