Retro-inspired CFMoto 700 CL-X ADV is now available

Chinese maker CFMoto aimed to distinguish itself from its competitors when it introduced its CFMoto 700 CL-X ADV retro-style model rage in the world of motorcycles. CL-introduction X’s ushered the Chinese brand into a new market segment: vintage fans. Despite this, the company had already developed a presence in Asia, Australia, and portions of Europe.

Although the CL-X has been available in Heritage and Sport versions for the better part of a year. CFMoto has announced yet another edition, this time with a look that combines parts of a scrambler and an adventure bike. If you’re searching for a stylish and comfortable way to go long distances, the CFMoto 700 CL-X ADV is for you.

Design

The 700 CL-X ADV is the heaviest CL-X model, with dual-sport tires, a large windshield, and a suspension with more travel than the other models in the family. Despite this, the CL-X model range’s distinctive appearance is maintained, with the X-shaped LED headlamp, retro-themed bodywork, and clean lines. ADV-inspired features like a high fender and integrated pannier racks are there. They not only serve as useful additions to the bike but also give it a more rough appearance.

There are no major differences between the CL-X ADV and its brothers’ engine performance. CFMoto’s 71-horsepower engine is powerful. We wish the company had chosen to use a 270-degree crankshaft instead of the dull 180-degree configuration. Cruise control, self-cancelling turn signals, and Street and Off-Road riding modes are all standards on the CL-X ADV, as they are on other CL-X models.

Price and availability

The 700 CL-X and CL-X Sport are available for $6,499 and $6,999 from CFMoto, a newcomer to the US market. The CL-X ADV will release in North America following its debut in Asia and Europe. For more news and updates, keep visiting BikersInsider.

$500k Custom Ducati 1100 Fuse by Revival Cycles

Custom bike builder Revival Cycles in Austin, Texas, produces some of the most stunning masterpieces ever seen in the history of custom bike building. It’s evident from a brief look at their website just how much care they put into the tiniest things.

Ducati Fuse

The Ducati 1100 Fuse, right here, is maybe the shop’s crown jewel. We’ve never seen a custom-built vehicle like this, which took many years to develop.

In 2023, Suzuki may discontinue the GSX-R1000 in Europe.

Suzuki hasn’t unveiled a new motorcycle in many years. House of Hamamatsu prefers minor tweaks to comprehensive overhauls or all-new platforms, even if they are replacing their V-Strom, Hayabusa, GSX-S1000, and GSX-S1000GT models in 2020 and 2021.

New color schemes and “bold” designs have kept the rest of Suzuki’s portfolio fresh. Still, the company’s GSX-R1000 superbike requires an overhaul. Existing models of motorcycles were given an extra year to conform to the European motorcycle safety regulations known as Euro5, which came into effect in January 2020.

More development on sustainable platforms

January 2021 has come and gone. Despite this, Suzuki’s GSX-R1000 sportbike was still displayed at European dealerships. To allow dealers to continue selling non-compliant GSX-R1000 models for another two years, the company applied for an “End of Series” extension.

Known as “derogation,” Suzuki had a two-year grace period to shift models nearing the end of their production run. Within six months, the business will have to decide whether to improve or withdraw the liter bike from Europe’s burgeoning market.

Suzuki GSX-R1000R
Suzuki GSX-R1000R

As of 2017, the GSX-R1000 series has undergone its most recent upgrade, which puts the superbike for a much-needed revamp in 2019. As for Suzuki, they have already withdrawn the models from Europe because of pollution laws.

Suzuki GSX-R1000 2022 sale in Europe

Suzuki went out of its way to keep selling the GSX-R1000 in Europe despite doubters’ dismay at the news. That doesn’t imply that the top Gixxer is out of the woods, though. By the end of the 2022 MotoGP and Endurance World Racing (EWC) seasons, Suzuki had announced that it would no longer compete.

It’s difficult to predict how Suzuki aims to develop its superbike in the future, given the company’s concentration on sustainable platforms and its decision to retire from racing. We’re keeping our fingers crossed that the Hamamatsu manufacturer has something up its sleeve. Still, we’re also keeping our hopes low.

The results of testing the Triumph TE-1 prototype have finally been made public.

Triumph declared towards the end of May 2022 that testing on its prototype Triumph TE-1 electric motorcycle was complete. Expectations are naturally high for Hinckley’s first-ever electric motorbike. While everyone’s tastes in motorcycles are different, it’s hard to deny that Triumph doesn’t go all out these days.

Triumph TE-1
Triumph TE-1

What was Triumph’s TE-1 testing able to tell them? According to the OEM, that would be the subject of a future article due on July 12, 2022. Since that time has come, the group has all the details that have been made public thus far.

Specifications and range

First and foremost, you need to have a lot of power. The engine is rated at 175 horsepower and 80 pound-feet of torque, respectively. That’s all fine and dandy, but how much does it weigh when it’s unloaded? In a motorcycle that Triumph claims has “a physical scale comparable to a Street Triple but with the ergonomics, geometry, and weight distribution of a Speed Triple,” the bike weighs 485 pounds. ‘

Is there a range? That’s 100 miles on a full charge, according to the company. A variety of variables can affect that statistic, just like there are for all electric bikes. A leisurely country ride with minor elevation changes and without pulling every ounce of power out of the throttle should provide different outcomes than riding the bike hard, quickly, aggressively, and continually up hills.

Triumph TE-1
Triumph TE-1

The TE-1 also achieved certified times of 3.6 seconds from 0 to 60 mph and 6.2 seconds from 0 to 100 mph. Triumph lists a different kind of amazing speed figure instead of an official peak speed figure at this time. The team’s findings base a 20-minute charge on 80 percent capacity.

We don’t know which charger was utilized to get these results. Has a proprietary plug been used for this DC fast charger? What’s the best way to reach 100%? Considering that quick charging is typically more damaging to power cells than overnight charging, how well-equipped are they? …We’ve had a few questions, to be honest.

Test rider for Triumph TE-1

Triumph recruited Daytona 200 winner Brandon Paasch to assist evaluate the powertrain and track testing of the TE-1 prototype during the final testing phase of the TE-1. The following is how he summarized his feelings:

Triumph TE-1 track 3
Triumph TE-1 on track test

TE-1’s throttle response is excellent; it’s incredibly torquey and gives you quick power when you first press it. As a motorbike racer, this is exactly what I want — I love it when something is super-torquey and picks up straight away. It’s incredible how quickly and powerfully this monster pulls when cranked up to full speed.

When a production version of the TE-1 appears, we’ll have to wait and see what adjustments have been made. The prototype’s aesthetic was a big hit, so hopefully, it won’t be too different from the final product. The company may continue to give the public what it wants regarding style. Still, it is unlikely, given Triumph’s track record of delivering consistently good results.

Electric bike Ultraviolette F77 is now available for preorder.

It’s finally time to pre-order the Ultraviolette F77, an electric bike from India. The bike seeks to blend classic brands’ stylish appearance with intriguing technological features.

It has been a long period since Ultraviolette started working on the F77. During that time, TVS Motors, the new owners of Norton, invested in it.

Chassis

The bike is pretty ordinary, i.e., without the electric motor. A steel trellis frame joined the upside-down forks at the front to the gas-charged shock absorber at the back with adjustable preload. There are 17-inch wheels and dual-channel ABS on the brakes. 320mm discs with four-piston radial callipers up front and 230mm with single-piston floating calipers at the back.

ultraviolette f77
Ultraviolette F77

Motor and batteries

A surprising amount of power is coming out of this thing for electricity. The F77’s 25kW (33.5 horsepower) places it behind Yamaha’s R25, which has a 26.5kW output. This lies in the 125cc-equivalent category (35.5 horsepower). It’s reasonable to assume that the F77’s large batteries would make it heavier than the R25. Yet, Ultraviolette F77 weighs 158 kilograms while the R25 weighs 166 kilograms.

The F77’s most intriguing feature may be its batteries. A new structure allows them to store enough energy to carry the bike up to 200 kilometres.

ultraviolette f77 2
Ultraviolette F77

Ultraviolette claims, “Our batteries are more than power modules.” It’s reasonable to say that these batteries are among the most modern and reliable on the market. It is due to many mechanical, electrical, and thermal failsafe processes.

“It is a self-sustaining advanced electronic device.” They come with their own CPU, memory, wireless connectivity, and GPS.

Charging time

Also, a normal charger can charge the batteries to 100% in five hours and 80% in three hours. This may be achieved in 50 minutes with a fast charger and 100 per cent within 90. Because the batteries are detachable and you can charge them at home if necessary, you also have that option.

The design has no surprises, and the bike’s structure has seen years of testing. Z 1000’s 1,043cc inline four-cylinder engine produces 142 horsepower at 10,000 rpm. An upside-down fork and a rear monoshock with progressive articulation. This will complete the aluminium alloy frame. So, the tank is 19 litres in size, the saddle is 835 millimeters high, and the weight in operating order, with a full tank, is 236 kilograms.

Kevlar jeans for motorcycle riding.

All you need to know guide

Introduction

Jeans for riding a motorcycle are becoming popular. Especially among riders moving away from sports bikes and toward adventure, street, custom, naked, and cruiser bikes. Motorcycle riding jeans have been available for decades. Still, the emergence of aramid linings like Kevlar and other Kevlar-based materials has made them a viable alternative to leathers. Though they may not be as safe as leathers.

What are Kevlar Jeans?

Kevlar is the brand name of DuPont’s para-aramid polymer. We commonly refer to them as “Kevlar jeans.” Strong and resistant to abrasion. This material can be found in a wide range of applications, from firefighting equipment to bulletproof vests. Also, there are various para-aramids, and their alternatives are available. (such as liquid-crystal polymers).

Although some brands have before claimed that their material is superior to Kevlar when wet. That is a little misleading because the 7.62 AK47 round might be less effective at stopping Kevlar when wet. When sliding down a rain-soaked road, the abrasion qualities are less of a concern to a rider.

kavlar-jeans
Kevlar Jeans

There are pros and cons to any abrasion-resistant material. Still, from May 2018, all new motorcycle gear should have been tested and certified as Personal Protective Equipment. You don’t have to worry about it too much.

Cambridge Test is the name of the motorcycle industry’s abrasion-resistance test. The time it takes for a piece of material to wear through on a sanding belt is slide time. By far, the bulk of jeans manufacturers does not conduct abrasion tests on their products. Jeans can slip for up to nine seconds, although it’s not unusual for them to do so. What a remarkable feat, considering that it is twice the length of leather. Furthermore, leather is far too extravagant for the average road rider. Leather has a sliding time of 4-5 seconds.

As a result, you can compare the safety of different items based on their ratings and how they make you feel when they’re on your body. Choosing a CE-certified pair of motorcycle riding pants is the first step in the process.

Are normal jeans safe for riding?

While nothing can ensure your safety because every crash is unique. Wearing tested gear can lower your risk of injury.

EN 13595 has been in force for many years. Although it has only appeared on labels on the most heavy-duty equipment. Yet, even though the new EN 17092 certification is easier to get. Riders can use the certification’s letter grades of A, AA, and AAA.

A pair of A-rated jeans is most suited for urban riding when it comes to protection. AAA is more seen in leathers, whereas AA is more associated with traveling or related activities. Not quite, a pair of jeans might contain incredibly thick abrasion-resistant material in them, capable of AAA in itself. Still, the garment might be rated to AAA or A if it doesn’t cover all the checked regions.

Are kevlar/aramid jeans an alternative to leather trousers?

Single-layer, part-lined, and fully-lined jeans are all options. Partial-lining only has protection in critical impact zones, i.e. the bum and knees. In contrast, a fully-lined pair will have it across the entire inside. Turn the jeans inside out to examine how far down the back and across the sides of the hips the protective covering extends. The stitching on the outside could fade quickly, allowing the material to slip away in an accident if the stitching is inside the garment. Part-lined leg protectors may have some wiggle room, but consider how far this could rise if the denim was torn open.

Because of the lining, aramid-lined jeans have an inherent flaw. No one likes riding in a pair of lined pants when it is hot or even just very warm. In general, jeans with a 100% lining will be more generous than those with a 60% lining, but both will keep you warm. They’ll also add weight and make the jeans less breathable, which will lead to more perspiration.

As a result, these jeans made a lot of sense when the only other options were leather pants or full-on motorcycle trousers. The best-looking ones resembled a pair of denim jeans from Levi’s. Nobody would notice you were wearing them if you just walked about in them. But now there are single-layer jeans, and it’s called that. A strong fiber (such as aramid or UHMWPE) is woven into the fabric in single-layer denim. Cotton might be used for the warp, but a more robust material would be used for the weft, even if woven into a cotton sleeve.

Importance of ratings of kevlar/aramid jeans

Yet, even if they pass the A-grade or the AA, single-layer jeans with an aramid fiber weaved in are not as protective in vital areas. These areas like buttocks and knees as many part-lined jeans with the same rating. In one experiment, single-layer jeans wore out faster than jeans from Tesco for £5.

You’ll only find AAA ratings on products with aramid-lining, so keep that in mind. When purchasing a pair of AA-rated jeans that don’t have aramid lining covering 100% of the denim. A single-layer product protects the entire denim surface. So an A or AA rating indicates that the abrasion resistance, not the quantity of covering, is holding it back from a AAA rating.

Because they are more vulnerable to typical wear and tear. Single-layer clothing may not provide the same level of protection. Multi-layer items have a tendency to coupe with sheer pressure in better ways.

When AAA-rated single-layer jeans become available. They will have met the CE testing standard’s established abrasion time criteria for that rating. After that, you’ll be able to find out how far they can go in an accident.

How to pick right pair of kevlar/aramid jeans?

How to choose the best pair of ride-ready denim for your next ride…

Lining

The information will come in handy now that you understand the lining materials in motorcycle jeans. Not all denim is created equal must be brought to your attention. Denim might be lined all the way through or just in specific high-risk locations in the thighs, hips, and buttocks.

kevlar-lining-for-jeans
Kevlar lining in jeans

When shopping for biker jeans, keep that in mind. It’s safe to say that your first instinct is to dive for the fully lined pair. Full linings do add weight, however.

Just because a fully lined garment doesn’t mean it’s the safest option. Some of the best-known companies, such as Draggin Jeans, conduct numerous safety studies. For the most part, they choose part linings in their denim.

Fit

It’s all about the fit, like most motorcycle clothes. A correct fit is more than simply a matter of comfort when you’re hunched over your bike. Slides can make or break a presentation.

The first time you wear motorcycle jeans, they’ll feel a little snug. Regardless of how tight the jeans feel, we always recommend that you stick with your regular jeans size. To keep them on your waist and prevent them from slipping down and showing your flesh, the Aramid or Kevlar® inner lining and stronger denim used in their construction make them a little tighter.

kevlar-jeans-fitting
Fitting of Kevlar jeans

In addition, remember that you must be able to bend your knees and hips comfortably while riding. Because of this, you should experiment with different cuts to get the right fit for your physique.

Fit is highly subjective, so don’t let it influence your decision before you’ve tried it on for size. Think about how high your waist is for comfort (and draughts) while on and off the bike, as well as how long your legs are while selecting a motorcycle helmet.

This may not be ideal for riders with shorter legs, but some firms will modify the length of your pants for free if you prefer a different length.

Shop around, and you’ll be able to locate a pair of protective jeans that are both stylish and functional while you’re not riding your bike.

Armour

There are certain motorcycle jeans out there that don’t feature armour, and most motorcycle jeans come complete with CE-certified knee armour inserts. However, hip armour is normally available separately from the rest of the gear.

A lot of jeans have knee and hip armour built-in. Whether you wear it or not, D3O is a fantastic example of protective armour that is lightweight.

For off-bike comfort, some pants have removable armour on the outside. If you’re wearing jeans, be sure you can do this comfortably.

kevlar-jeans-armour
Armour in Kevlar/Aramid jeans

To protect your knees while riding, use armour covering the front and top of them. Walkabout in them to make sure they aren’t unpleasant.

Pants with movable armour are a better choice than To secure the leg armour, some use Velcro.

The armour may move around in loose-fitting denim. So I need a big, comfy armour with enough legroom.

Consider using knee armour instead of jeans for maximum impact protection. But it won’t move if you fall. To travel, you’ll need to store your pants and armour.

Safety

Products that just claim to contain materials tested to CE requirements should not be considered because testing also involves construction. Also, be wary of labels boasting “CE protectors” (the armour). This testing to EN 1621 and only pertains to the armour, not the quality of the jeans’ manufacture.

During CE testing, double or triple stitching is a must in crucial locations. It includes the bottom, knees, and sides of the pants. It’s better if the seams come apart in the shop than on your legs, so don’t hesitate to tug on them.

You should buy jeans made of thick denim rather than lightweight material to be safe. It is better to purchase such as prewashed denim. The most significant quality denim will last longer and be more durable. Even though washed and worn (like the knees on your favourite pair of stylish jeans).

Looks

As a rider, you’ll want to locate a pair of jeans that you can wear both on and off the bicycle. For city commuting and sitting all day, a pair of A-rated jeans is probably optimal, while an AA-rated pair should strike a compromise between security, style and comfort. They may be the most protective, but an AAA-rated pair is likely to be hot and unflattering when worn. If you’re going to buy motorcycle riding pants, you’re going to have to think about how you’ll appear while you’re not riding.

Pricing

For motorcycle jeans, how much should you expect to pay? Unfortunately, there are no easy answers to this topic.

Nothing less than $80-90 should be under consideration for an acceptable price range. An excellent pair of cotton slacks will run you about the same amount. Don’t imagine that cutting back on zips and pockets will allow you to save money.

It costs up to $269.99 for a pair of Draggin Jeans, which is a high-end brand. In contrast, ARMR Moto is a well-known and well-respected brand that sells a wide variety of products for a low price of $99.99.

Minor details to look into a Kevlar/aramid jeans

Keep an eye out for rivets, especially at the wing’s apex. To avoid scratching your paintwork, most high-quality jeans do not employ rivets in this location. However, rivets are used in other places to strengthen the fabric.

Even though carrying your gear in your pockets increases your crash risk, most of us do it. So make sure your pockets are deep enough to hold your essentials (some are too shallow to safely store my phone). As far as linings go, fashion jeans typically use linen in the front pocket. In contrast, motorcycle jeans utilize denim throughout, which will last a lot longer when you’re stuffing your keys in there.

Make sure that the belt loops are big enough for your belt, but also that there are plenty of them; some brands add two loops side-by-side at the back of the jeans to keep your belt from riding above the waistline while you ride.

Last but not least, make sure that your skin and the aramid are protected from shear stresses that can rip your skin. When you’re in a slide, find a mesh lining between the two materials. It’s likely to be in most pairs of CE-approved jeans.

Conclusion

Hopefully, the information in the guide above has dispelled some of the myths surrounding motorcycle jeans. That way, when it’s time to buy new riding gear, you’ll know exactly what you’re getting into. Make sure you remember that Kevlar® and Aramid jeans aren’t bulletproof!

You should wear a leather jacket and jeans if it’s not raining or you’re not on track (full leathers). Even if you’re riding in a foreign country, you’ll always wear CE-approved pants and, for the past several years, a pair of Hoods.

Kevlar Jeans are available in a wide variety of styles and prices. They can be found alongside many helmets, clothes, and accessories.

FAQs

1. Are regular jeans sufficient for motorcycle riding?

Not all jeans are created equal when riding a motorcycle, so don’t settle for just any pair. To keep your Levi’s in good condition, you’ll need either motorcycle underwear or outerwear. Otherwise, invest in an excellent pair of motorcycle jeans that will protect you in the event of a collision.

2. What is the material used in motorcycle jeans?

A denim outer shell is usually complemented or blended with a few proven abrasion-resistant fabrics, such as Kevlar or reinforced nylon.

3. What kind of Kevlar they use in motorcycle jeans?

DuPont’s Kevlar fabric is rated for motorcycle use and is known as Kevlar 129. Road rash can’t be avoided with anything less. Ensure that manufacturers, particularly startups, aren’t ripping you off with substandard products.

4. What is CORDURA jeans? and is it better than Kevlar?

Denim made of CORDURA® fabric is more durable than denim made of 100% cotton. CORDURA® Denim fabric has cotton denim’s good look. It feels with increased abrasion resistance and toughness thanks to an ideal blend of cotton and INVISTA’s T420 nylon 6.6 fiber.
Many people assume that Kevlar is the only option when it comes to motorcycle jeans. However, testing has shown that Cordura has better abrasion resistance than Kevlar. The elasticity of the nylon-based Cordura fabric makes it significantly more “useful” in the event of a fall from a motorcycle.

In Modena, Ducati Unveils The 2023 MotoE V21L.

As of June 30, 2022, Ducati unveiled the V21L MotoE bike in Modena at a small and private event. Even though the event was only open to a select group of European journalists. They now get to tell the rest about their time at chef Massimo Bottura’s bed and breakfast.

Looks like the V21L prototype that Ducati has been testing based on the photographs shown earlier this morning at the show. Of course, the paint job is a little more sophisticated. While some carbon fibre is covered, others are left exposed to show off their particular grain. It creates a visual texture that our eyes may feast on.

You feel the energy while looking at the red line graphics against the matte black/dark grey background. As a result, the V21L from Ducati doesn’t immediately scream “electric motorcycle,” as we’ve come to expect from other entries in the category. The V21L’s visuals, even if you had no idea what they were before viewing them, may lead you to believe it’s a weapon.

Build and Specifications

What more information do you have about the MotoE bike from Ducati? over 496 pounds, this first-generation model seems to weigh 225 kilograms. The 110 kg(242.5 pounds) battery is an 18 kWh device. The design is to suit this bike and attach to the swingarm. The battery is accountable for a large part of the weight.

Is there anything else you’d want to add? The greatest output is 110 kW or 150 horsepower, and 103 pound-feet of torque as per specifications sheets. A high speed of 171 mph has been claimed in Mugello. It has completed seven laps of a GP course that Dorna wants for its MotoE races.

Also crucial are hlins NPX 25/30 pressurized forks with 43mm upside-down tubes adapted from Superleggera V4. Besides, an adjustable hlins steering damper and an adjustable TTX36 rear shock are included. Brembo brakes with cooling-optimized designs are also a component of this concept.

Among Ducati’s claims about its cooling system is that it has a double liquid cooling circuit to handle the cooling requirements of both the battery pack and the motor and inverter. As a result, once the bike is hot off the track, Ducati maintains there’s no need to wait to charge it. A full charge will be in approximately 45 minutes if it is put straight into the wall socket. ‘ Also, the lessons Ducati is learning for the MotoE project will be applied to future production bikes.

Expected production

To be clear, Ducati’s R&D director Vincenzo De Silvio said the following when speaking about this undertaking: “Ducati’s participation in the FIM MotoETM World Cup is not only a technologically exciting try, but also the best way for the company to interpret the challenges of the new millennium. Motorcycle racing is an ideal environment for testing and refining new innovations before the features come into mass-produced motorcycles “he stated.

“Current issues in this subject revolve around battery capacity, weight, autonomy, and the availability of charging infrastructure. The knowledge gained by Ducati in the FIM MotoETM World Cup will be invaluable in the company’s product development efforts, as will the physiological changes in technology and chemistry. It’s already critical for the company’s internal knowledge to expand now so that it can be ready when the first street electric Ducati is put into production.”

‘Hidden’ Provision in Trump’s Big Bill Could Disarm US Supreme Court

Once a limit down price is hit, trading restrictions can last from a few minutes to the remainder of the day, depending on the exchange rules in question. The Limit Up-Limit Down (LULD) rule is designed to protect individual stocks from extreme volatility by imposing a trading halt when prices move too far, too fast in either direction – up or down. The rule aims to prevent excessive price movements that can negatively impact orderly markets and potentially harm investors. Limit down is a critical concept for traders dealing with futures markets as it affects their ability to trade based on price movements.

Impact of Limit Down on Traders and Markets

In conclusion, limit up and limit down are important concepts in futures trading that help maintain market stability and prevent excessive price movements. These price limits act as temporary ceilings and floors, ensuring that prices do not rise or fall too rapidly. Traders should always be mindful of these limits and their potential impact on their trading activities. The purpose of implementing limit up and limit down levels is to maintain market stability and prevent panic selling or buying. By imposing these price limits, exchanges aim to prevent extreme price swings that can be detrimental to market participants and the overall functioning of the market.

The House legislation would end the tax breaks after 2025, with few exceptions, about seven years earlier than under current law. The House bill would mean an early termination of tax breaks for consumers who buy or lease electric vehicles, and others for households that make their homes more energy-efficient. Trump’s tax package also includes a new savings account for children with a one-time deposit of $1,000 from the federal government. The tax deduction reduces the amount of seniors’ income subject to taxes, and therefore may also bring down the taxes that they owe. The reason is that very low-income families with kids typically don’t owe federal taxes, which means they can’t claim the full child tax credit.
