Good news for scrambler motorcycle fans! It seems that Husqvarna is working on a new Svartpilen 890 motorcycle. There are reports of testing, as well as some leaked images of the titular motorcycle. Based on the pictures, some have concluded that the Svartpilen 890 will feature an 894cc parallel-twin engine in its frame. If that ends up to be true, we can expect a striking improvement over the Svartpilen 701 motorcycle!
Reports say that the new 890 motorcycles will utilize the same engine as the 890 Duke R, which means 119 horsepower and 73 lb-ft of torque. There is a high probability that Husqvarna may opt to retune the engine a bit. Nevertheless, the numbers indicate that this bike will be a true powerhouse!
Even though the new bike will use a similar body and swingarm, the rest will look fundamentally different from the Duke R. We can say that the style of the bike resembles the 701 Svartpilen, with some additions such as headlight mask and gas tank. Also, as KTM owns WP and Husqvarna, the motorcycle will utilize suspension from WP.
There is still no official announcement of this motorcycle from Husqvarna. Based on the leak, it is certain that this bike is quite far in the development cycle. We will keep you updated when we learn more about this powerhouse of a scrambler!

The iQube is the most recent electric scooter from the TVS Motor Company, one of the biggest players in the Indian electric motorcycle market. This electric scooter is designed for urban commuters and those with fast-paced lifestyles who need to stay connected at any time, anywhere. That’s where the TVS SmartXonnect technology comes in!
So, what is this technology all about? Well, it will allow each user to stay connected to their mobile devices without the need to stop. The TVS iQube is ideal for urban areas, as it features a 4.4 kW electric engine. This scooter can hit the top speed of 78 km/h, and a single charge can sport you with a range of 75 km. Honda is no stranger to V-twin bikes; they have several outstanding bikes of this type. They have another one in the works, according to their patents. The patents in question show a “plurality of cylinders in a V-type arrangement”. In the patents, two pistons are mentioned too, so it is sure to be a V-twin bike.
There are no other known specifics at this moment, other than the drawing that spoils the V-twin setup. Based on the drawing, we would guess that this bike will feature a retro style. Also, the engine isn’t that big, so it is most likely that Honda has a small or medium displacement, naked V-twin bike in the works. Maybe it will be something different, but the drawing sure looks like that.
Even though the patent was printed at the end of April, it was filed in February 2018. We still don’t know if Honda will build this bike, as many ideas are probably on hold because of the COVID-19 crisis. Nevertheless, it would be nice to see another V-twin from Honda!

The sales numbers are pretty optimistic for Energica, who seems to get on track to become one of the key players in the electric motorcycle market. They have surprisingly good financial results for the first half of 2020. What is even more interesting is that they sold more bikes in this first half than all of 2019! To add the cherry to the top, they report that they are getting 41% of pre-orders from the US alone.
These numbers indicate that this Italian company has come under the sight of the US market. It comes without mention that Energica will focus more on that particular market as of now. Almost 50% of the mentioned pre-orders have been fulfilled, which is quite a result due to the COVID-19 crisis.
The big part of the Energica’s appeal is its battery pack with an extraordinary range. Now, the new battery has 62% more capacity! To convert this into actual numbers, the Energica bike now has a 180 km range on the highways and 402 km range in the cities. Other than that, the electric motor features 159 lb-ft of torque. To top it all off, you can charge the battery to 80% in 40 minutes!
The worst of the COVID-19 crisis has passed in Italy, and Energica can now continue with the production! We expect their electric motorcycle to sell big for the rest of the year.

You probably haven’t heard of an ambitious electric motorcycle company called Verge Motorcycle that hails from Finland. According to some reports, this visionary team is taking its debut model – the Verge TS, out to the press one more time before they start its production.
We also have a decent amount of specifications of the Verge TS. First of all, it has a hubless engine mounted on the rear wheel. It produces 107 horsepower and has a terrific torque of 735 lb-ft. The Verge TS provides 300 km of range for the city and 200 km for the highways. Other than that, there are a plethora of high-tier components in this bike, including the Pirelli tires and the Ohlins suspension.
While the range of the TS isn’t the best on the market, Verge has an ace up its sleeve. The ace in question is the charge time. Apparently, the bike will go from zero to hero in just four hours, which is better than most other bikes on the market. Imagine if you had a DC fast charger – you could fill this beast up in 45 to 50 minutes!
When we consider all the information about the Verge TS electric motorcycle, we can conclude that this Finnish startup is up for a promising start. Albeit it probably won’t be the best electric motorcycle on the market, it will undoubtedly be up there with the competition.
We know that the price of this bike at launch will be €24,990 (which is $27,039 or £21,902).

We have noticed from numerous reports that few custom shops started turning Royal Enfield 650 bikes into scrambler bikes. Well, it is undoubtedly a no-brainer choice, as the 650 bikes already have prerequisites for this kind of tweak. Having this information in mind, it looks like Royal Enfield will follow the tracks set by a select few custom shops, and prepare a scrambler bike for the near future. Maybe it will be the next one in their successful lineup, who knows?
Well, we can say that this is some great news if they prove to be true. Scramblers have hit a new popularity mark in recent times. We can see that in rising sales in this bike category for Triumph, Ducati, and numerous other motorcycle manufacturers. From a business perspective, it would be smart for the Royal Enfield to jump to the 650cc dirt bike bandwagon – the scrambler bikes.
As of this writing, both variants of Royal Enfield 650: the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT; have great sales, and are equally as good. It is well-known that Royal Enfield is planning to expand its lineup even more. Well, we can say that things will get very interesting if they decide to go for a scrambler bike route.
Other than the scrambler bike project, some reports state that Royal Enfield plans to make a larger Himalayan bike too. Nevertheless, we think that a scrambler variant of 650 is a gold mine! For starters, the Interceptor 650 already has a decent basis for a scrambler, with some small modifications, like putting a brand-new exhaust, suspension, tires, and of course – some distinctive bars.
We will follow this story up, and will post an update if Royal Enfield decides to go for a scrambler model!

The American Honda branch follows the trend set by Indian, Kawasaki, and Yamaha, urged by the COVID-19 crisis. Now, Honda will deliver all of its products to your home!
Albeit this home delivery scheme is limited to this extraordinary situation and will not continue after the pandemic, we certainly think that this business model would be very beneficial for the long term. Not just for Honda, but for other motorcycle manufacturers too.
The actual home delivery process is closely associated with the existing dealership network established by Honda partners. Its market in the USA is well-known for a tightly connected network of dealerships. That means that you can contact your nearest local dealership and discuss the order and delivery procedure with them.
Also, one important thing to know is that this home delivery program will vary according to the state you are in and the dealership you’re dealing with. We still don’t know if this program will apply to Honda’s used bikes. Ask your local dealer to find out.
All in all, we can give kudos to this growing trend among motorcycle manufacturers and can hope for it to continue long-term. Objectively, it could bring positive implications both for the manufacturers and their partners, as well as their customers.

Nolan N70-2 X – A Helmet With Pretty Amazing Features

Coming in with an ultra-wide screen, its large visor is compatible with the use of glasses (even with the screen installed and open). It features a VPS sun visor, which is adjustable in multiple positions and equipped with an automatic folding system.
The upper ventilation system has the famous AirBooster Technology. The retention system with micrometric adjustment rocks a double lever Microlock2. In addition to that, its innovative inner comfort padding Clima Comfort has micro-perforated fabrics and adjustable neck protector.
All things considered, this makes the Nolan N70-2 X a reference for off-road and an off-road crossover suitable for the most demanding riders out there.
Sizes And Prices Of The Nolan N70-2 X
Available in sizes from XXS to XXXL, the pricing of theNolan N70-2 Xmay vary.
You may choose three different versions:
Special, which would be $289,99, 260€ or £265 pounds.
Classic, which would be $329,99, 299€ or £309 pounds.
Great Alps, which would be $374,99, 349€ or £355 pounds.
It is definitely a budget helmet considering how many features it has. However, our Nolan N70-2 X review includes a good look into the technical characteristics.
The Nolan N70-2 Xis safe, since it has a removable protective chin guard that passes the homologation tests provided by the UN/ECE regulations for full-face helmets.
The large surface of the anti-scratch screen (scratch resistant) allows greater vision even from the side, thus guaranteeing maximum driving comfort and increasing safety.
In addition to that, the large visor allows the use of the helmet with glasses, even with the visor installed and open.
An Incredible Pinlock Anti-Mist System
The patented regulation system allows the pinlock to be regulated, acting from the outside of the visor without the need to remove it.
The silicone profile allows, firstly, to increase the airflow between the exterior and interior, further reducing the risk of fogging. Secondly, it reduces the risk of scratches on the visor.
The Nolan N70-2 X offers a UV protection up to 400 nanometers. It can be easily disassembled for maintenance and cleaning and maybe adjusted in multiple positions.
The drive system allows it to be automatically retracted into the non-use position, thus simplifying possible emergency maneuvers derived from the need to quickly restore maximum visibility offered by the visor.
The Nolan N70-2 X Is All About Safety
The Nolan N70-2 Xfeatures a cervical protector that is removable, washable and equipped with an exclusive regulation system.
Thus, it is easy for it to adapt to the different morphologies of the riders and to the multiple configurations that derive from the different driving positions.
The helmet is also prepared and approved for the installation of the N-Com communication system and the innovative ESS (Emergency Stop Signal).
The Ventilation System Is Great Thanks To The Airbooster Technology
The exclusive upper ventilation system features AirBooster Technology.
This leads to ensures optimum ventilation where the pilot’s head needs it most: in fact, air is extracted from the upper air intake and is forced towards the most critical areas. This will guarantee maximum comfort even in extreme driving conditions.
The ventilation system is also made up of:
The air intake of the chin guard that offers ventilation at the height of the mouth and directs the air directly to the visor, reducing fogging.
Rear extractors allow the expulsion of hot and stale air, guaranteeing optimum comfort inside the helmet.
The Nolan N70- 2 X Features An Advanced Retention System
The Nolan N70-2 X comes in with a patented retention system with double lever micrometric regulation.
It is made up of an ergonomic opening lever made of thermoplastic material and a second toothed and retention lever, in aluminum.
The toothed lever releases the micrometric clamp, so the holding strap can only be opened after the opening lever has rotated. Isn’t that brilliant?
Support straps are integrated in the lining. Therefore, the interior is removable and washable. This also works to support a better fit for any rider.
The inside has a new padding concept that has been made with dual-density micro-perforated fabrics and combined with the AirBooster Technology upper ventilation system.
This favors air diffusion in the upper area of the pilot’s head. The confirmation of the chin strap facilitates the closure of the chin guard and protects from annoying air infiltration in the chin area.
Nolan N70-2 X: a great helmet for off-road riders
If you are looking for a high-end helmet for off-road, the Nolan N70-2 X might be a well worth option to look into.
Although it does not have the most advanced features, it certainly represents a great effort from Nolan to keep things on a budget.
All things considered, this is certainly a great choice for any off-road rider. Even the most demanding ones!
We are just as excited as you about the arrival of the Matrix Alpha Pro Helmet by Matrix Helmets, the UltraModular.
As we continue on the hunt for new promising products when it comes to Motorcycle helmets, we needed to tell you all the rumors, speculations news, and our review on this one.
We are interested in Military style helmets, Si-Fi futuristic helmets, helmets with heads-up display Tony Stark style and many more. Recently we stumbled upon this Matrix Alpha Pro Helmet concept by Matrix Helmets: the UltraModular, as they call it, on one oftheir Social Media outlets.
They Suggest this helmet will be packed with new features and technology
So here we are with the Matrix Alpha Pro The UltraModular: rumors, speculations, release date, and you will find out why they call it Pro If that sounds interesting, let’s jump into it!
Matrix Alpha Pro The UltraModular: An Unusual But Amazing Design
The shape of the Matrix Alpha Pro The UltraModular looks pretty unusual for a helmet. It reminds us of the Cybertruck, released by Elon Musk just recently. Could this be a perfect match for a Cyberquad or a CyberBike? It could indeed. Those are future releases, so let’s dig in and see a glimpse of what we may see with this amazing looking helmet for 2020.
Here at Bikers Insider, we decided to approach the CEO and Founder of the company, Pavel Vlasov, to get some information on Matrix Alpha Pro and what they’ve got for us. There is a lot of speculation around this helmet, but here is what we actually managed to find out from Matrix.
This will be the debut for matrix helmets, as it is the first time they are going to release a full face ECE helmet. Thus, it is a great challenge for Matrix, as in such a saturated market it’s hard to stand out. That is the truest when it comes to young companies as Matrix Helmets It costs over 250k to develop a basic ECE helmet model Pavel says, We are not taking into account the price of the rest of the innovation. So it’s truly a leap of faith for the company.
Fierce competition around the Matrix Alpha Pro The UltraModular
In order to truly compete with big companies, it is not enough just to make another ECE helmet, in the beginning of research and development of Matrix Alpha Pro Matrix’s team knew this and began by brainstorming ideas and researching the market. Asking customers, friends, and using social media on what is lacking in modern helmets. What can be improved and what do people think could be groundbreaking ideas.
Modern riders seem to want more functionality from their helmets, Uniqueness and new features, pro riders want better performance and user experience. There are also a few challenges and issues modern riders face when it comes to using a motorcycle helmet on various conditions, and here are some of them:
One of these issues and it’s a huge one, the issue with visors fogging up despite pin-lock and other technologies.
2. The streets of big cities are getting more and more pollution, and there are a lot of people suffering from hayfever, seriously affected by pollen when riding out. Those are elements to factor in.
Another key question is: what if a biker has two or three different bikes, which is not uncommon? We all know that you won’t put a full face sports helmet when riding a Harley, or a Motocross lid when riding your favorite naked Yama.
What if you could have one helmet that can be transformed into any of the existing riding styles? Street, offroad, touring, classic, high-performance bike, or even a helmet for track days. That would be simply amazing.
Matrix’s new helmet takes into account riders’ needs
With that in mind, the Matrix Alpha Pro The UltraModular wants to tick all those boxes. They want to produce a helmet that represents the answer to what is missing in the market to fill the gap.
The idea is to make a modular helmet that you can adapt for every riding style. A all-in-one solution with full face and open face, by making a removable front part. This will allow to swap it for a totally different front part, add goggles, and peak to it. A game-changer. With this one, you might commute on your bike using the street mode, and use the offroad mode on a track during the weekend by switching front and adding those extra parts. All of that with the same helmet. Brilliant.
Matrix Alpha Pro The UltraModular features a clever design
The street version will have a built-in cozy high ventilated respo mask, that will totally eliminate any fogging on the visor. You may remove it at any time, which is definitely something quite convenient.
Alpha Pro helmet would be an awesome find for kind of riders that are experienced to the level so that every little detail makes a huge difference, riders who know how important it is to check how the new helmet fits into the airflow over the bike when they tuck behind the windscreen. For riders who changing lanes at high speed just my dipping a shoulder and changing the airflow for a split second, this helmet will be a game-changer!
If you are on a track, you can set it to the beast mode by lowering the wing to allow maximum aerodynamic performance. This will lead to maximum vent airflow and least drag. We believe this feature might very well disrupt the current perspective on the motorcycle helmet.

Questions and rumors regarding the Matrix Alpha Pro The UltraModular
Our team at Bikers Insider always wants to go above and beyond. Thus, here are some questions we asked, that address the rumors and speculations around theMatrix Alpha Pro The UltraModular.
We want to know about a built-in camera, or the sweet addition of a built-in Bluetooth system that everyone wants in their helmet.
Answer: we considered to do all this inside the helmet but when it comes to electronics you need a lot of research and development, we realized that the price of the end product would be then over £1000. We really didn’t want to build something just for a few who can afford such an expensive helmet or to develop a helmet that would have low-quality components in, Answer is clear: our task is to make helmet compatible with the best communication units in the world. and there are few heads-up display and Camera ADD ON technologies emerging now such as EyeRide HUD or REVAN
For that reason, the tech that they want to include is pretty simple, and won’t be costly to develop. However, it will make a huge difference for any user. They are working with great companies like SENA, that have perfect communication solutions for a helmet that works absolutely fantastic. They are also working with companies that make rear and from view cameras that can fit any helmet so customers can buy that as an addition.
We are sure that the Matrix Alpha Pro The UltraModular will be an amazing helmet. It was about time that someone created something like this, and we only have to wait a little bit more to enjoy what will certainly be a great product.
