Tech-Air 5 From Alpinestars Set For CES 2020 Reveal!

0

Alpinestars has a revolutionary airbag device for the world’s motorcyclists ready for CES 2020. The Air-Tech 5 airbag system has additional safety to make it one of the strongest on the market.

The compact and self-contained unit has more body security than any other airbag system the firm has ever launched. Additional protection is given in the arms, abdomen, neck, and the whole back. You can wear this vest under any textile jacket, making it a great choice for riders wearing different jackets in different times of the year.

The sensors also got an update. Alpinestars has six sensors all over the suit. The suit features six sensors. To detect accidents, they track the rider’s position and acceleration. If there is a trigger, the suit can deploy in only 40ms! You can also connect the vest via Bluetooth to a smartphone app to track its status. The battery will last you for 30 hours, and you can simply charge it between the rides. After the showcase on CES, the vest will go on sale in March 2020.

Honda Prepares To Reveal A Smartphone Integration System At CES 2020!

0

CES 2020 will certainly be an event to pay attention to for passionate motorcyclists. Including new bikes and new tech, there’s going to be a lot to discover during what could be an otherwise dull January. Honda doesn’t want to be left out of the CES 2020, that’s for sure. That’s why they plan to announce their new Smartphone As Brain program at the show.

Since the plan is to unveil the entire program at the CES, we don’t have a lot of information yet — but here is what we know so far. Developed in collaboration with Drivemode, which Honda obtained in October 2019, Smartphone As Brain is Honda’s way of incorporating your current smartphone into your Honda motorcycle or car.

Aside from the odd name choice, a lot of similar programs seem to do the same tasks. These include updating your arrival time for the contacts you’ve added to that function, as well as giving you turn-by-turn navigation through both dash display and audio instructions. SAB also allows you to make calls, listen to, and monitor text messages while you drive your Honda vehicle.

Another feature this system offers is road hazard detection, such as potholes, etc. You will also be able to manually insert these details into the system.

Well, as of now, it is still not clear how many drivers will allocate their time to input this information to other users. There is still a possibility that they will just enter these road hazards while still riding along.

Also, it is unclear if someone who has both a Honda motorcycle and a Honda car equipped with this device will be able to move smoothly from one vehicle to another with all their preferences unchanged. It is clear that no one wants or needs yet another complicated software to find themselves stuck in, but it is still a problem that is likely to occur from potential adopters.

Honda Reveals Pricing For CBR1000RR-R Fireblade In UK!

0

The new Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade has a price for the UK market. Honda’s price for the base Fireblade model is £19,999 ($26,011/€ 23,427). The SP version of the bike comes at a price of £23,499 ($30,565 /€27,527). The new price reveals that the current Fireblade is as pricey as the SP version of the old bike.

You can find the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade in either the Grand Prix Red or the Matte Pearl Marion Black. All options look great on the road, and the CBR1000RR-R is expected to be one of the most exciting sports bikes to be sold in 2020. The bike features an inline four-cylinder engine that produces 215 hp from a 999.9cc displacement.

That’s definitely a lot of money for a motorcycle, but if the bike is as impressive as the Honda makes it look, it might well be justified.

Honda Files Trademark For The CT125 Trail!

0

Honda has been an informal arbitrator of small trail bikes for a number of years now; generally small displacement bikes. They are now working on bringing the CT125 Concept unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show. Earlier, the firm filed trademark papers for the name CT125. This is a pretty obvious indicator that Honda is at least talking about turning its bike into a production model.

The small bike revolution appears to be going well with the Grom, the Monkey, and the new Super Cub. The CT125 Concept is essentially a Super Cub designed and constructed for off-road rides. It’s a clever upgrade to the Honda range and one that probably wouldn’t have cost the company that much to produce.

Honda already has an esthetic concept in the classic CTs of the 60s and 70s and has a fresh powertrain and architecture to use from the new Super Cub. The motorcycle features a basic, air-cooled 125cc engine with a semi-automatic clutch. This could make the trail ride a lot of fun on the CT125 if Honda chooses to make a production model. I hope the company is going forward with this machine.

BMW Finally Reveals Specs For the 1,800cc Boxer Twin!

0

BMW has its 1,800cc boxer twin in the works for a while now. If this bike concept interests you, you’ll be happy to know that BMW has finally unveiled the specifications of the engine. Until recently, the company has kept the engine specifics hidden.

BMW states that the engine will go into development sometime during 2020. The engine has a displacement of 1,802cc and the cylinders have a diameter of 107 mm and a stroke of 100cc. There are aluminum pistons here too. The engine weighs 244.3 pounds while the transmission and intake are intact.

It features an overhead valve design, coupled with a dual camshaft setup. The crankshaft has an extra bearing to keep movements to a minimum. The engine produces 91 hp and 116.5 lb-ft of torque at 3,000 rpm. Maximum rpm is 5.750 rpm for the mill.

Click here to read the full report on the Big Boxer engine.

Without a doubt, BMW will be able to sell the bikes with this engine in it. The engine is stunning to look at and a perfect addition to the concept of a cruiser motorcycle. We are a bit surprised at the fact that the engine doesn’t produce a bit more power. We were certainly expecting more than 100 hp, but 91 hp is still quite a number.

Norden 901 Concept Is Ready For Production!

0

In a not-so-surprising turn of events, Husqvarna says that it will put the Norden 901 Concept into production. It was just last month that Huskey debuted this concept bike and even then we knew it would likely go to production.

The motorcycle will be renamed as Norden 901 and it will become a part of the lineup. It makes sense for Husqvarna to offer an adventure bike. Its off-road and motocross bikes have been crushing it recently, and the company’s new street bikes from its lineup have also been widely acclaimed.

The Norden 901 has a parallel-twin 888cc engine, a WP suspension, 21 and 17-inch wheels, and a stylish, Husqvarna-branded design. The company has not announced a release date and the price of the bike. They just stated that it was going to make a production version of the bike.

We are pretty excited about this motorcycle, even when there is not a lot of information. The Norden 901 will take on some strong competition – BMW GS models, Kawasaki Versys, Suzuki V Strom, and the African Twin from Honda.

Ducati CEO Is the New Motor Valley Development Association President!

0

The region in Italy known as the Motor Valley is named appropriately. The headquarters and plants of several famous Italian motoring firms, including Lamborghini, Ferrari, Pagani, Dallara, and Ducati, are all situated in this region. Ducati is located near the center of the region. Because of that, the Motor Valley Development Association has chosen to appoint Claudio Domenicali as president.

Domenicali says he would like to inspire education and outreach in ways that would benefit the region and contribute to development.

He says:

“This region enjoys an unparalleled academic culture and unmatched motoring and technological skills. It’s also a magnet for enthusiasts, new talent and businesses and as such deserves our wholehearted support.”

The emphasis on education and outreach is likely to serve the area well. Motorsports, automotive, and motorcycle technologies are what propel the vehicles of the future. If the companies in this area want to remain dominant in the market, they will need to concentrate on this.

It’s not shocking to see Domenicali speak like this, and we wish him all the best in his endeavors as president. It’s another symbolic victory of a very powerful man in the world of motorcycles. It will be fascinating to see how all this will affect Ducati in the future.

Husqvarna Launches Two New Motorcycles in India!

0

Bajaj introduced the brand Husqvarna to the public at India Bike Week 2019. KTM owns Husqvarna, and Bajaj has a 48% stake in the company. Bajaj has an increasing influence on the Indian motorcycle market, so their move is no wonder. Husky’s got two new motorcycles set to release on the Indian market. These are the Svartpilen 250 and the Vitpilen 250.

All bikes are fitted with the same 249cc fuel-injected liquid-cooled, four-stroke, single-cylinder engine. This engine is more or less the same engine as the KTM Duke 250 engine. It’s 30 hp and 18 lb-ft of torque. All bikes feature a steel trellis frame, upside-down front forks, 17-inch wheels, and single disc brakes with Bosch ABS. The Vitpilen features clip-on handlebars. The Svartpilen has wider handlebars that are not clip-on.

Both these bikes are as elegant and stylish as you would imagine them to be. These are essentially the smaller-displacement version of Husqvarna’s already incredibly cool motorcycles. Husky is clearly making its money’s worth out of design by dropping in an Indian-proven engine and promoting these bikes professionally. They made a smart move for sure. We hope that these bikes will expand beyond the Indian market at some point.

There is currently no news if these bikes are going to launch in Europe. We highly doubt the bikes to ever launch in the USA, but maybe we are wrong. The pricing for these bikes are still a secret, but it will be unveiled soon, as the bikes will launch in February of 2020.

Yamaha Considering To Create A More Extreme Ténéré 700!

0

The Yamaha Ténéré 700 is a motorcycle not available in the US yet, but people are really excited about it. This bike is on sale for less than $10,000 and it’s a great adventure bike according to its users. However, some people don’t feel it’s as serious as it should be. It seems that this might change in the future. In the future, there may be a more off-road-focused, hardcore model in the works.

Takushiro Shiraishi, Yamaha’s project leader for this bike, said that the company may think about developing a Ténéré 700 that’s a little more extreme. He suggests that there might be a smaller, nimbler, and more balanced version coming out at a later date.

Ténéré 700 is selling crazy in Germany where it’s already available, which means that Yamaha is likely to try and make the most of the design with at least one other version of it. That makes sense for them. They’re going to get the most return on their investment out of the concept if they can make a few different versions of the bike. We’re looking forward to hearing more news about this.

Helite Will Include Electronic Airbag Tech On the New Airbag Vests!

0

The company will have some shiny new technology available to its clients by 2020. Helite will attach electronic airbag technology to the GP Air Vest and Turtle 2 Vest. Other than the vests, Helite will also launch an airbag backpack. The release window for the vests is the spring of 2020, and the summer of 2020 for the backpack.

This will be a new system that will be provided alongside the mechanically activated airbag system. The electronically triggered device should consist of two different sensors. These sensors can detect the rider’s condition and then activate the airbag device at an appropriate moment.

The first sensor is for impact and is mounted on a motorcycle. It can cause the airbag to be deployed even when the driver is at a standstill. The second is a motion sensor that can sense if a rider goes down or if an accident occurs while riding. Together, these two sensors will help ensure that the vest is deployed at the right time.

The vest is reusable. All you need to do is swap the CO2 container and it’s ready for further use. Nonetheless, you should make sure that it was not compromised in any way when it was deployed. At this time, Helite has no price information for the vests.
