Harley-Davidson now has a new change in management, mainly on the top level. After succeeding Matt Levatich as an acting president and CEO, Jochen Zeits is now the official CEO and president of the company. This change comes after his announcement of the new strategy implemented in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis.
After leaving the CEO seat at Puma, Zeits has joined the Harley-Davidson board and will continue to serve the chairman function too. The director of the board, Thomas Linebarger, states that the board is confident in Zeits’s ability to lead the company during these extraordinary times. He values his business and leadership experience, and his “determination to challenge everything about the company” due to the mentioned situation, that could benefit the long-term success of Harley-Davidson.
Zeits joined the Harley-Davidson board in 2007. After he joined the board, he started the sustainability committee and showed great passion for everything related to Harley-Davidson.
We wish good luck to the new management, and it will be interesting to see how Harley-Davidson will fare under the new leadership!
