Honda has revealed the new 2020 variant of its CBR400R motorcycle for the Japanese market only (for now!). It is a powerful bike that we expect to see in other markets very soon!
The CBR400R features a 399cc parallel-twin engine that produces about 45 horsepower. It will be considerably similar to the CB400X, with slightly different tuning.
The North American market will get the CBR500R, which features a larger displacement than the CBR400R. Nevertheless, that engine doesn’t make that much more power than the CBR400R. For now, in the 400-range, KTM and Kawasaki are the leaders here. It will be certainly interesting to see Honda bring the CBR400R to the global market, to see how it competes with the leaders. Well, that is, until it launches worldwide.
This 2020 model isn’t a whole new bike; it is just an updated model of the 2019 variant. It doesn’t feature many changes, only the aesthetic ones. Nevertheless, we would love to see this bike further from the Japanese market.
