Is the Ducati Hypermotard 950 RVE the motorcycle you’ve always wanted but could not get your hands on when it first went on sale? That’s fine; 2020 was a busy year. If there’s one of your Ducatis you’d like to get back, Ducati North America has some good news. In 2022, the Hypermotard 950 RVE will be available in the United States in a particular second-gen variant.
Unveiled at the 2019 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este show on Lake Como, Italy. The Graffiti livery is a feature in this second-generation model. Centro Stile Ducati had established a concept at the moment. The Hypermotard 950 RVE’s first-generation design remained stable from the idea to release in 2020. The audience welcomed this well, as it is rare to see things go from concept to production without significant hiccups.
Engine and Power
The Ducati Hypermotard 950 RVE is now in its second generation. It sits between the base model and the more powerful Hypermotard 950 SP. 114 horsepower and 71 pound-feet of torque are claimed from the 937cc Testastretta engine at 9,000 and 7,250 rpm. Eighty percent of the 950’s torque is available between 3,500 and 9,500 rpm, making it enjoyable and precise to use while riding.
Suspension
A fully-adjustable 45mm Marzocchi fork and Sachs monoshock setup handle suspension duties. Two Brembo M4.32 four-piston radial monoblock calipers up front. A single Brembo two-piston caliper at the rear handle braking duties, with Bosch cornering ABS and an up/down quickshifter. The Hypermotard 950 RVE’s second-gen has all the Ducati technology.
Price and availability
Yet, we’re back to the Graffiti livery. Because it’s so labor-intensive to make, Ducati only produces 100 more of the stunning machines. To achieve the desired effect, layers of fragile decals must be applied sequentially. It comes with the proper techniques and time handled. But, the final product appears to be worth the effort.
Hopefully, it will arrive in American showrooms in late May 2022 if you’d like to get your hands on one. Customers who pre-order will be able to get the vehicle for $15,695.
