There Is A High Possibility Of Honda Transalp Premiering At EICMA 2021!

As EICMA 2021 is slowly approaching, there is a higher chance that Honda might reveal the heavily-rumored revival of Transalp. Talks about the smaller version of the Africa Twin are raging since 2019.

Well, it would make sense for Honda to introduce a smaller variant of the Africa Twin. Mid-large ADV models like Yamaha Tenere 700 are seeing great success these days. Still, there is no official word from Honda as of yet.

Well, the good things are that there are clues that the reveal may happen. Maybe even this year! One major clue is that Honda has re-registered the Transalp trademark earlier this year.

Basically, all that is needed is the official “aye” from Honda. While obviously, the specs can’t be declared officially, it is speculated that the new Transalp will sport an 850cc four-stroke engine. That should make it perform well on the rough terrain but on roads too.

The new Transalp could indeed be a new model expected to unveil at the EICMA in Milan this year. This show returns in November after its delay forced due to the COVID-19 insurgence.

If this happens, this will be a revival of a motorcycle in Honda’s range since the late 1980s that didn’t get a new model since 2008. Call us hyped!
