The Centro Ricerche Castiglioni design team has earned a notable award for the Superveloce 800. This bike is recognized as one of Lombardy’s Design Excellences from the Association for Industrial Design and the Regional Government of Lombardy. The Superveloce 800 was unveiled in 2019 as a prototype. Now, it has entered its production phase at the factory near Milan.
The Design Director, Adrian Mortin is honored with winning this prize. He claims that this award wouldn’t happen if not for the energetic and passionate design team he directs.
The backbone of the Superveloce 800 is the F3 800 engine. It is an 800cc engine, that emphasizes speed. The form of this bike also brings this vision to life. For example, the nose and the tail look like the inspiration from the past. The bike, as a result, looks like a mix of old and new design features. It certainly doesn’t look like a cheesy neo-retro motorcycle.
Well, the awards may not stop for Superveloce 800. The team is also nominated for the prestigious Compasso d’Oro 2020 accolade.
The praise may continue into 2020 as well, as the Superveloce is also in the running for ADI’s prestigious Compasso d’Oro 2020 award.
