Volkswagen Group Isn’t Selling Ducati Anytime Soon!

Here is an interesting fact: Volkswagen Group owns almost half of the exotic brands in the automotive industry. Some of the most popular brands they own are Porsche, Lamborghini, Bugatti, Audi, and Ducati. Let’s switch over to Ducati a bit, shall we?

There were some speculations about the sale of Ducati that rose due to a 19,4 billion dollar loan. This huge loan amount was used to fight the emissions crisis. The rumors arose due to insiders claiming that the brand’s sale would help return the loan amount in a short amount of time.

Some fans were very concerned about this, as selling Ducati could mean big uncertainty for the brand. Thankfully, Volkswagen has confirmed that the Ducati brand will remain in its portfolio.

Some compromises have to be made, though. The group has issued a plan aiming to reduce fixed cost amount by 5% and reduce the costs of materials by 7% by 2023.

Nevertheless, it seems that Ducati will stay safe in Volkswagen’s hands for years to come, which is some good news!
