Just ahead of the Beijing Motor Show that takes place in May 28th this year, Piaggio has shown off their future global electric model – the Piaggio One. This is the second foray into the EV market for the company, with the first being the Vespa Elettrica scooter.
Piaggio has shared the video on TikTok and other social media platforms, with the simple and recognizeable tagline: “One for all, and all for One!”
The Piaggio One will utilize swappable batteries, a concept that seems to get more adoption each passing day. Other features of the Piaggio One that were shared are:
- Keyless operation
- Full LED lighting
- Full-color digital instrument board
- Storage compartment under the seat
- Two engine maps
Piaggio plans to launch their One model as a full electric scooter platform, but plans to expand to different powers from moped up to motorcycle. All these future models will obviously have electric motors of different capacity and will be powered by swappable lithium-ion batteries.
Piaggio states that the One model will be available in Europe by the end of June 2021. We are excited to hear more info on the 2021 Beijing Motor Show on 28th May!
