KTM Will Utilize Continental Tires In The New 890 Duke!

KTM revealed a new naked bike this January – the 890 Duke. It will replace the 790 Duke in certain key markets. Now, don’t mistake this bike with the 890 Duke R, as the 890 Duke is designed with accessibility in mind.

To make the bike more accessible, KTM has outfitted the 890 Duke with premium components from world-renowned brands. First of all, it features WP suspension focused on high-performance on and off the road.

A breakthrough is a partnership with the German tire brand Continental. The Duke 890 will utilize the ContiRoad tires, which feature a rubber-type specifically designed for sport and touring means, focusing on maximizing the grip, efficiency, and longevity.

In contrast, the Duke 890 R features Michelin Power Cup 2 tires designed for race tracks. It’s the right choice from KTM to include the ContiRoad tires in the Duke 890, making it more accessible for variable terrains.

The new Duke 890 has already launched in the US market, with the starting price of $10,999 (or €9,105/£7,870).
