Cool Looking helmet: Caberg Freeride X Jet Launched

At last, someone has brought out an open-faced, jet-style motorbike helmet that looks great but won’t break the budget! The lid under issue is the most recent version in its open-faced series, the Caberg Freeride X.

The most crucial piece of data is the price. For one of the exotic paint finishes, the Caberg Freeride X has an MSRP starting at £179.99 and rising to £229.99. Though not currently shown on the Caberg UK website, just the international one, the colour options offered are Iron Special (above), Rusty Special (below), khaki green, black, matt black, white, and a carbon fibre version.

Thanks to several features, the retro-looking lid is quite fit and ready for the modern world. First, you can match the Freeride X with a variety of intercom systems, including the Caberg Pro Speak Evo communicator. Once linked to your smartphone, this lets you listen to music through your cell phone or MP3 player, keep in touch with your travel buddy or passenger up to a distance of 200m, and link to a GPS.

It is perfect for winter and out-of-town travels and has a standard big, long, transparent visor within the box. Even with the communicator fitted, it passes all the criteria set by ECE 22.06, as you would expect from a helmet introduced into the modern world.

The Freeride X has three outer shell sizes and two internal sizes for every shell: small (XS 53/54 and S 55/56), medium (M 57/58 and L 59), and large (XL 60 and XXL 61).
